This is an animated image of a waving National Ensign, with the stars in the upper left.

Between two thin blue circles are the words "U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary," with the last word at the bottom. Framing the circular logo are two crossed blue anchors with the middle sections of them unseen.

Thin blue banner across top of page includes the words "U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary" in white italic font to the right of three leaning white stripes with a miniature version of the Auxiliary logo in between the second and third stripe. The second stripe is thinner than the other two stripes.

Member Training

You can receive a variety of free training as a member of the Auxiliary.  Perhaps you would like to become qualified to be a boat crew member or coxswain in order to participate in safety patrols in local waters.  You could also become qualified as a vessel examiner to help your fellow boaters make sure they have the knowledge and safety equipment they need to enjoy their boating experience.  You can also train to become qualified as a watch stander at the U.S. Coast Guard Station at Indian River Inlet.

These are just a few of the many ways you can contribute your time and talents as a member of the Auxiliary.  Please contact the Webmaster, who will put you in touch with the Flotilla Staff Officer in charge of member training.
